For me, tattooing is a personal metaphor, a visual anchor, and a form of memory.

Sometimes a tattoo becomes more than just an image on the skin. It becomes an act of self-acceptance. This work helped a person see beauty and softness in their own reflection for the first time. Art on the skin is a dialogue between body and soul, where every line heals.

The series captures a moment where the body becomes a space of dialogue. The lines follow movement, breath, and natural form, turning skin into a site of presence and acceptance. Acceptance is a photographic meditation on the body as a living canvas, where real lines create real change — both visible and deeply internal.

Báse Tattoo Course

This author’s offline tattoo course in Lisbon is designed for those who want to enter the tattoo profession with a clear and structured foundation. It is suitable for beginners as well as for artists who are already working and want to systematize their knowledge and technique.

The program covers technique, safety, understanding the skin, sketch development, client communication, and the fundamentals of professional growth. The training is built progressively — from preparation to independent practice.

Online preparation (5–14 days)

Theory, video lessons, sketch assignments, reference work, and motor skill development.

In-studio theory session (6 hours)

Safety standards, stencil transfer, composition on the body, workspace setup, session structure, and client communication. Working checklists and homework included.

Practice on artificial skin (9 hours)

Two guided sessions and one independent session with feedback. Linework, shading, whip shading, and machine control.

Practice on models

Working on live skin under supervision.

Professional orientation

Fundamentals of personal branding, promotion, and an overview of guest spots in Europe and the CIS region.

Events

My practice extends beyond the studio. I collaborate with galleries and exhibition spaces, presenting my work within curated shows and contemporary art contexts. I also create and lead workshops and performative art experiences as part of festivals and cultural events.

Skinlines invites viewers to see the tattoo not as a trend, but as timeless visual poetry and self-exploration, and even a kind of therapy. This exhibition explores how lines on the skin become an extension of the self.
